The Center for Insurance Research, Inc. (CIR), based in Cambridge, Massachusetts, provides an independent voice for reform in debates about insurance, financial services companies and related public policy issues around the nation.  CIR is a non-profit, 501(c)(3) organization and all donations are tax deductible.

CIR focuses on national and state issues concerning insurance and financial services regulation in a range of areas including: mutual conversions, illegal discrimination, insurance accessibility, cost reduction, quality assurance, disclosure, and corporate and regulatory accountability.

CIR testifies before federal and state legislatures and agencies, conducts studies, initiates litigation on behalf of the public interest, sponsors public forums, and engages in public interest education campaigns.
